Lexy Barlow Named as finalist for Prestigious Gorsline Scholarship
Lexy Barlow, a dedicated female racer from Connecticut, has been named one of three finalists for the esteemed Human Performance Institute Scholarship presented by The Gorsline Company.
This scholarship, spanning over 30 years, rewards athletes who display remarkable talent and professional respect for motorsports. Such placement is a testament to Barlow’s impressive achievements and potential for future contributions to the sport.

Barlow has consistently excelled in her motorsport pursuits, after her first competitive season in vintage sports car racing, she immediately branched out into single-seaters, including Formula 4. Her versatility, skill behind the wheel, and competitive fire continue to propel her on the track.

“There is so much talent represented at the Gorsline Company,” Barlow said, “To be recognized by them and included in this group as a finalist is not only an honor but a torch I am excited to carry throughout my racing career.”
The Gorsline Scholarship committee has awarded past honors to notable drivers such as, Indy 500 Champion Josef Newgarden, Daytona 500 Champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr, IndyCar and NASCAR star Danica Patrick, and American LeMans driver Patrick Long.

Winners of the Gorsline Scholarship will be announced during the 12 hours of Sebring event in March of 2025.
About Lexy Barlow
Following success in equestrian show jumping as an adolescent, Lexy Barlow transitioned into motorsport. After her first competitive season in vintage sports car racing, she immediately branched out into single-seaters, including Formula 4. Considered one of America's most promising young female drivers, Lexy has been mentored by legends such as Jim Busby, Jacky Ickx, and John Gorsline.
About the Gorsline Scholarship
The Gorsline Company annually presents the Human Performance Institute Scholarship to a young aspiring driver who consistently displays exceptional talent and a professional respect for motorsports. John Gorsline started the scholarship as a way to promote the sport and to recognize young future championship drivers. Some past recipients have been Danica Patrick of the IZOD Indy Series/NASCAR Monster Energy series, Colin Braun of the NASCAR Xfinity series and Patrick Long of the American LeMans Series. This award is presented annually at the Autosport banquet in London, England and at the American Auto Race Writers and Broadcasters Association Awards Banquet.
